Hearing tests for children

For children aged 3-6 years, hearing is assessed for each individual ear. If your child is more than seven years old, please see the hearing tests for adults page.

How do hearing tests for children work?

We perform hearing tests for children by asking them to respond to sounds in the form of a series of fun and enjoyable puzzles and games, using headphones.

The test is painless, fun for the child and usually requires 30 minutes to complete. Parents or guardians are welcome to remain in the room during the test.
